Located
at Michie Stadium, The Hoffman Press Box is a 12,000-square foot, three-story structure that features
greatly enhanced facilities and amenities for electronic and print media,
as well as an enclosed level priority seating area tucked beneath the
first level. While the first floor of the press box will house seating
space for print media members and a "state-of-the-art"
television broadcast location, the second level will feature radio,
coaches, video and game operations booths. The lower level has a
“Priority Seating” area for dignitaries and guests.
The
building is controlled by a Honeywell XL5000 system that includes an
XL500, XL10 CVAHU’s and XFL modules. The BACS communicates to a front
end that utilizes Honeywell’s SymmetrE graphical interface to view and
control the stadium from anywhere on the campus.
