Thirty-three story utility building in
downtown Manhattan with mission critical systems. Close
working relationship with mechanical consulting engineer to
provide customer with seamless transition during modernization
of control systems. Work ongoing in building.
PROJECTS OF NOTE:

1995-1996:
Installation of DDC controllers on major air handling
units. Installation of alarm and monitoring sensors,
switches and panels for critical temperatures, pressures and
liquid levels.

1998-2000: Phased
replacement of five 500-ton centrifugal refrigeration
machines including motor control center replacement. Optima Controls supervised MCC work of
prime electrical contractor. Work was not allowed to
proceed without an Optima representative on site. Carrier
Comfort Control Network (CCN) for chiller integration
installed by Optima.

1999-2000: Installation
of 4 climate control simplex air compressor systems complete
with pressure and liquid alarming, 18 compressed air
pressure reducing stations, including flow measurement.
Re-piped entire building climate control compressed air
system with hard copper tubing while keeping facility on
line and under control.

Long term
customer relationship continuing with maintenance service
and building renovations.
